A Fabulous Victorian Brass Letter Box/Knocker combining a letterbox plate and hinged knocker in a traditional brass design - with original screws & bolts for fitting. The central panel is boldly inscribed “LETTERS” in decorative lettering.
Shaped end plates with small trefoil-style terminals add a restrained ornamental flourish. The hinged knocker is formed with curved side arms and a ribbed horizontal grip. The spring is still strong and in working order - circa 1880.
