A Fabulous Pair of Antique Georgian Sheffield Plated Butter Shells with a sculptural, scalloped outline. Each dish is modelled as a fan shell with deep fluting that catches the light beautifully across the surface. One side is finished with an ornate applied border of scrolling foliage and shellwork, giving a richly decorative Regency revival feel.
The dishes sit on small feet, lifting them slightly from the table and improving stability in use. A small engraved heraldic crest is present in each dish, adding an elegant personal touch.
