A Really Fabulous Full Set of Dominoes with iridescent mother-of-pearl style faces set into black rectangular tiles. The playing faces have cleanly cut pips in dark inlay, giving a crisp contrast against the pale, luminous surface. The reverse sides are plain black, creating an elegant two-tone appearance when the pieces are stacked or laid out.
The set is supplied with a soft drawstring pouch for storage and travel. A few back corners and edges show small knocks or nibbles, visible in close-up, consistent with age and handling. Examples have been shown in the last few photographs for accuracy – circa 1850.
