A Distinctive Antique Edwardian Silver-Plated Tea Caddy with a tapering square form, broadening towards the rim, giving it both stability and an elegant upward sweep. Each side features a finely modelled lion mask with ring handle, a classic motif in English silverwork symbolising strength and guardianship. The caddy opens to a plain, well-finished compartment designed for storing loose leaf tea (or tea bags!). This caddy has a hinged lid, with a domed cover topped by a shaped finial. Accompanied by a heart shaped tea caddy spoon – circa 1905.

In good condition – Very good, with a bright silver surface and only light surface marks consistent with age and gentle use. Hinge is secure and functions smoothly. Stable and well-balanced, no tilting. Clean and well-preserved, suitable for continued practical use or display.
