A Charming Novelty Silver-Plated Dish modelled as an open umbrella with a curved handle. The interior is beautifully engraved with a floral garland border, giving a delicate decorative contrast to the polished silver-plated surface. Such umbrella-shaped novelty dishes were typically used as bonbon dishes for sweets, nuts, or purely as decorative table pieces, valued for their whimsical and playful design.
* Possibly a nod to the very popular 1960’s film Mary Poppins!
