A Beautiful Pair of Georgian Sheffield Plated Shell Dishes with naturalistic scallop shell forms and crisp, radiating fluting with a decorative cresting detail to the rim. Raised on three ball feet, allowing them to sit gracefully on the table, these elegant pieces showcase the refined artistry of the Georgian period, combining functionality with decorative appeal – circa 1820.

 

* Traditionally used for serving butter, sauces, or small delicacies, they now make versatile table or decorative pieces.

In good condition – Some light wear and surface marks consistent with age, with very minor bleed-through of copper in places (a typical and desirable feature of genuine Georgian Sheffield plate). Both pieces sit firmly and present beautifully.
