A Nice Pair of Victorian Pink Satin Glass Ewers featuring hand-applied clear reeded handles and richly enamelled floral motifs in gold, blue, and white. The gently crimped ruffle rims and bulbous melon-shaped bases reflect classic Victorian design, while the vibrant yet soft coloration makes them an exceptional example of decorative glass artistry from the late 1800s.
* Each ewer was individually blown and shaped, then treated with acid to achieve the satin effect. The clear handles were formed separately and attached while the glass was still malleable. Using fine brushes and steady hands, artisans painted each floral motif, often without stencils or transfers.
