An Antique Victorian Silver Plated Butter Dish with a revolving domed cover. Its domed lid is richly engraved with ferns, leaves, flowers, and scrolling foliate details. A removable glass oval liner sits inside the main body and could be lifted out for serving or cleaning. Its sculptural form gives the piece considerable presence on a sideboard, dining table, or serving buffet – circa 1880.
