A Stunning Set of Three Antique Victorian Country House Silver Plated Salvers by Elkington & Co. This set of three comprises of salvers of three different sizes. Each tray is finished with a neat beaded rim that gives a crisp, tailored outline. The centres are decorated with finely engraved scrolling foliage, framed within circular borders.
A small crest-style motif appears within the central reserve on each tray, adding a formal touch without dominating the design. All three trays sit on decorative scroll feet, lifting them slightly from the table for a more ceremonial presentation. The set is clearly marked Elkington & Co to the underside with the date latter ‘L’ for 1872.
* It is especially uncommon to find a graduated set of three still kept together by a renowned maker such as Elkington, making this intact trio particularly appealing.
