Antique Trench Art Style Royal Marines Brass And Copper Military Desk Set – circa 1950

This is a striking Trench Art style desk set made in mixed metals, combining brass-toned panels with copper fittings on a shaped wooden base. The overall form is designed as a traditional writing stand. Two removable copper inkwells sit neatly into the rear apertures, topped by lids sporting military crests reading ‘Royal Marines’.

A matching copper ashtray with twin cigarette rests is fitted to the front, completing the period look of a military office or mess setting. The centre back is finished with a raised Royal Marine crest featuring a globe within a laurel wreath beneath a crown and lion motif – circa 1950.
