This Antique Cigar Box beautifully combines solid mahogany with elegant sterling silver mounts. Crafted in 1919, the piece is fully hallmarked for London. This box was designed for a gentleman’s smoking room - both practical and decorative. The rich, reddish-brown mahogany case features a beautifully grained wood surface, complemented by sterling silver mountings on all four corners, hinges, and a central strap handle.
The box opens in the centre via two hinged flaps, each secured with silver mountings and finely crafted hinges. Once opened, the interior reveals two deep, plain compartments - originally intended for cigars but also ideal for modern use as a desk box or jewellery case.
