A Lovely Large Antique Edwardian Silver Plated Rowing Trophy Cup mounted on a distinctive tripod formed as three crossed oars. A twisted, rope-style detail is worked around the junction of the oars. Engraved decoration to the front shows a ribbon-tied laurel swag, a traditional motif for sporting awards. The trophy is shown seated on a removable turned wooden plinth, which gives the piece additional height and presence – circa 1905.
