A Nice Antique Edwardian Silver Plated Basket formed as a shallow bowl on a small pedestal foot with an elegant swing handle. The rim is deeply moulded and scalloped, with alternating panels of raised floral repoussé and shell-like fluting. Scrolling foliate terminals and decorative piercings at the edge give the piece a richly ornamental, late Victorian feel. The handle is slender and arched, finished with beaded detail that adds refinement and helps it sit comfortably in the hand – circa 1905.
* Used as a fruit or bonbon basket, it brings a formal dining-room note to everyday service.
