A Lovely Antique Edwardian Butter Dish combining a frosted cut-glass bowl with a bright silver-plated mount and matching underplate. The oval bowl is etched with repeating starburst motifs and a radiating sunburst base that catches the light beautifully. The silver-plated cover is engraved with scrolling foliate ornament, giving the piece a refined, traditional look.
A sculptural recumbent cow finial sits proudly at the centre, providing a distinctive country-house accent. The underplate has a shaped, octagonal outline with chased corner panels that echo the lid’s engraved decoration – circa 1905.
* A charming cow finial turns a practical table piece into something with real character.
