A Nice Antique Edwardian Gilt Brass Vesta Case designed for carrying and dispensing vestas or matches. The exterior shows a warm gold-toned finish with engraved foliate decoration to the front. The form is a classic pocket size with softly rounded corners, intended to sit comfortably in the hand. The lid is hinged and opens to reveal the interior compartment for matches. A striker is set along the base edge – circa 1905.
An ideal addition to a tobacciana collection or a traditional desk arrangement with period detail.
